Setting: any location with space​

Materials: none​

Action:​

1. Say to your child, "When I say green light, you can dance and when I say, red light, stop dancing!"​

2. Start slowly using red light and green light to cue dancing and stopping. Give your child time to respond to each cue​

Tips:​

• If your child doesn’t respond to your instructions, try, “Okay, my turn! Watch me..." Demonstrate dancing when you say green light and stopping when you say red light. Play a few rounds to demonstrate the instructions.​

• Try asking your child to do other movements if they aren't interested in dancing (e.g., covering eyes, putting hands in the air, laying down, etc.) ​
